What is 4 Ball Yellow Ball?
- Yellow ball is a rotating bonus-ball team format played by four golfers. One golfer plays a designated yellow ball on each hole that automatically contributes to the team total the team total
- Meanwhile, the other players compete for an additional counting score, making it a two-score team game
- All Player play own ball thru the hole
- The yellow ball is passed clockwise between teammates throughout the round:
- Player A uses it on holes 1, 5, 9, 13, 17
- Player B uses it on holes 2, 6, 10, 14, 18
- Player C uses it on holes 3, 7, 11, 15
- Player D uses it on holes 4, 8, 12, 16
- Players are nominated for postions prior to tee off
- Each team receive 1 3ball sleeve of yellow balls to count as 3 lives.
- If the yellow ball is lost at any point, the team’s bonus or cumulative yellow ball score ends
Scoring
- Use Stableford scoring method
- Yellow ball score added together will top score of 1 other team mate = team score
- Bonus 3 points to team total for every yellow ball returned at end of play
- If all yellow balls lost in round only top score for 1 player counts
